Defibrillators have potential to save students lives
Shortly before a basketball game at Rockhurst high school in 2003, some faculty members gathered to watch an instructional video on automated external defibrillators, or AEDs. A Rockhurst parent donated an AED to the school earlier in the year and this was the final part of staff training. It was that AED that would jolt the game's referee, Sam Sangetta, back to life just hours later.
