Afghanistan: An Accordion Journey
After a stint as both an adjunct philosophy professor and an accordionist/rapper in a rock/hip-hop band, Gregory Warner left music and went on to become an award-winning public radio journalist. In 2007 he traveled to Afghanistan, bringing the same red accordion he’d first learned on, hoping that this instrument would be a talisman of sorts. Here is some of what happened.
