He has given the government and opposition parties two weeks to reach an agreement which would respect concerns about national security and the legally sensitive nature of some of the documents. Is progress being made towards a solution acceptable to both the government and the opposition? What's at stake if negotiations fail? The Rahim Jaffer / Helena Guergis Controversy: On Wednesday, testifying before a Commons committee, businessman Nazim Gillani contradicted key elements of former Tory MP Rahim Jaffer's testimony last week concerning Mr. Jaffer's activities making representations to the government on business matters.
