Frank Valeriote
Beyond Politics Liberal MP Frank Valeriote attended the University of Ottawa where he earned his law degree and the University of Western Ontario where he studied history for his BA. Frank was born and raised in the city of Guelph where his father was a long time city councillor. Frank followed in his father’s footsteps by serving 18 years on a local school board in Guelph. Frank married late in life, he was 47, his wife Catherine was 42 and together they had two children, Dominic and Olivia. For the last several years Frank has been involved in working with organizations that provide micro-financing for entrepreneurs in Africa and South America. In 2008,after Brenda Chamberlain announced that she would not be running again, Frank was approached to run for the federal Liberal party and won the riding handily.
