Bosses consider e-mail addresses
Unprofessional e-mail addresses can be a major turnoff for potential employers. A study from Ohio University has shown that regardless of credentials, applicants with professional e-mail names were more likely to be interviewed. Ann Hartley, associate director of the University Career Center, says quirky addresses attract the wrong kind of attention.
