Scott Griffin, CIO, The Boeing Company
Scott Griffin graduated from California State University at Fresno working his way through school as a fire fighter. He then traveled through the United States for a year before settling in the Seattle area and taking on the responsibility as a house parent responsible for 15 teen-aged girls who had been dismissed from foster care. After completing his one year house parent commitment, he became the Acquisition Administrator for Boeing before moving into more technical roles as a programmer and systems analyst. He then became the Manager for Business Systems where he was primarily responsible for providing customer relationship management training to middle level managers and providing all facets of business systems support to the customer service organization. During this time, he earned an MBA from Seattle University. His next Boeing role was as the Manager for Engineering Systems and then the Director of Common Systems where he moved from focusing on the commercial side of the business to the defense side. He then became Program Director for Information Systems where he oversaw several major process redesign projects before being promoted to the Vice President of E-Commerce and CIO for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group. This led to his current role of CIO for the Boeing Company as a whole. From the Series:Information Technology Leaders
