The Balconies - "Serious Bedtime"
Though they’ve yet to catch on south of the border, Canadian trio The Balconies certainly carve a noteworthy sound in this, their first video and single dubbed "Serious Bedtime". The band consists of Jacquie Neville and Liam Jaeger; a drum and guitar kind of couple, who later roped in kid brother Stephen Neville to play bass beside his big sister. Though the video here is a bit ordinary, the band jump and jive to choruses proclaiming, "If you do it in the dark it comes easy". Sort of reminiscent of the indie rock boogaloo definite influences like Spoon do so well. - David Pitz
