TEDxWarsaw - Virtual Virtuosos - 3/5/10
The Virtual Virtuosos is an experimental project which aims to stretch the limits of commonly available technology to facilitate artistic collaboration. For TEDxWarsaw tedxwarsaw.com the Virtuosos comprised Krzysztof Scieranski (bass) playing live on stage in Warsaw and, playing via a broadband connection, Paul Wertico (drums) at Roosevelt University in Chicago and Tom Ludvigson (keyboards) at MAINZ in Auckland. The experiment was a success, given the severe limitations of the medium, although the remote players' connection deteriorated during the performance and Krzysztof played a solo finale. The music was accompanied by a photographic projection of panoramic images by Ralph Talmont. More details about this project are available on Ralph’s blog here talmont.com About TEDx, x=independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events which bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
