Positive earnings surprises have encouraged a rebound in US shares after the S&P negative outlook for the economy earlier this week. But as Jennifer Hughes, senior markets correspondent, warns, the tsunami hit to Japanese data that is just beginning to emerge could yet presage a bigger economic aftershock than is currently expected.
