CES 2009: Sony Presents Award-Winning WiFi Camera with Web Browser
Although WiFi-cameras have been around for several years, the addition of a Web browser to the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G3 camera makes it more powerful than any other WiFi camera. Sony unveiled its innovative camera at CES 2009 and showed off the camera’s top-notch features.The Web browser allows users to upload pictures directly to the main multimedia websites such as YouTube, Picasa, Dailymotion, Photobucket, and Shutterfly. The camera can connect to any public hotspot including hotels, airports, and restaurants as well as secure and unsecured access points.Besides the Web browser and WiFi capabilities, the 10 Megapixel camera is equipped with a 3.5-inch touch screen display, 4x optical zoom and Carl Zeiss lens, 4GB of internal memory, face detection with smile shutter technology, and video mode for 30 fps.The camera took home one of CNET’s Best of CES 2009 awards in the category of Digital Photo & Video.
