Cheap, safe method to control malaria shows promise
Jan 24 - A new method of controlling mosquitoes that carry malaria has achieved promising results in field trials, according to its joint developers in Mali and Israel. The low-tech method involves spraying foliage near a water course with fruit juice and boric acid — a deadly cocktail the insects find irresistible. Stuart McDill reports.
