T-Mobile announces New products at CTIA
T-Mobile USA is still moving along as the nation’s fourth-largest carrier despite agreeing on Sunday to a $39Billion takeover by AT&T.In fact, T-Mobile reportedly plans to keep running TV advertisements that attack AT&T ads while regulators review the deal. Analysts noted that an early termination fee is set at $3Billion dollars if the deal falls through and if the merger takes at least a year to finalize, customers could be using T-mobile devices long after the combination becomes final. Tuesday at the International CTIA show, T-Mobile showed off a slate of seven new smartphones, tablets and dongles. T-Mobile also announced new products without AT&T. The products unveiled include a T-Mobile G2X with Google smartphone, powered by a 1GHz processor and a 4-inch touchscreen. Pricing wasn't announced. The company also announced a T-Mobile G-Slate with Google by LG, an Android 3.0 tablet with an 8.9 inch screen. The device will cost $529.99 after rebate with a two year agreement from T-Mobile. Three laptop dongles and a mobile hotspot were also made public. T-Mobile also said its previously announced Sidekick 4G will cost $99.99 after rebate and with a two year service agreement. AT&T is down .11 or about a third of a percent to $28.15.
