Video Profile on The Dodge Avenger
Dodge hopes to make the Avenger, its 2008 replacement for the Stratus sedan, a major player in the midsize market. The 2008 Avenger is Dodge’s first mid-size car to offer all-wheel-drive capability combined with a sport-tuned suspension and performance steering. The Avenger borrows design cues from its bigger brother, the Dodge Charger, to emphasize the company’s muscle-car heritage. The chrome grille is about as wide as it can be and, coupled with the quad headlamps, gives the car an aggressive face. Charger's four-door coupe-inspired design injects a modern dose of real-world versatility into a sports car profile. The proportions are classic rear-wheel drive: a long 120-inch wheelbase for more interior legroom, wide 63-inch track for more elbow room, and tall 58.2-inch profile for more headroom. The 2008 Avenger comes in four models: SE, SXT, R/T and R/T AWD.
