The 26 Ancestors Instructional modules teach you the 5-Step Research process you can use again and again to discover your family history.  This segment (# 2.3) is part of Step 1, "Write Down What You Know." Step 1 teaches how to gather and make a record of each new piece of information that you learn about an ancestor. This segment includes using your own memory to recall and record family history information, contacting others with family history memories, and finding documents, writings and objects. Everything from birth and death records to letters and photographs to quilts and vaccination records holds valuable clues.
