Team hoping to pit against the professional crews
Before 2003, the team trained in special facilities north of the city but they’ve since been turned into an American army base. Today, the river Tigris is their training-ground, where they hone their skills while fighting against the current and dodging fishermen. Even if the conditions here dont meet international standards the team is at least hoping to pit themselves against some other professional crews.
