「得閒飲茶」,似乎早已變成香港人自古以來的口頭禪,上茶樓喝茶,再嘆一盅兩件,不同年齡的人士都一樣喜愛。原來,茶樓和酒樓在50年代前是有分別的,茶樓專攻早茶和午飯;而酒樓就只會供應晚飯飲宴,直至50年代以後,兩者才開始共冶一爐,讓市民無時無刻也可以飲啖茶! 舊式的茶樓仍然維持傳統風味,用焗盅沖茶,雞球大包、豬膶燒賣仍然有售,數十年歷史的古老餐桌,每樣東西都是幾代人的回憶。 新式的高級酒家,裝修華麗,點心款式又多又花巧,既保留傳統的中國菜特色,也同時創出很多新派煮法,與時並進,帶領飲茶文化繼續向前發展。
