Poets Dana Gioia and David Lehman take turns in presenting an anthology of the famous, and not so famous, poets from the American Renaissance to the present. In addition to his status as an award-winning poet and critic, Gioia is Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. And, as a prolific author of five collections of poems, Lehman’s 'The Last Avant-Garde: The Making of the New York School of Poets' Doubleday, 1998), was named a 'Book to Remember 1999' by the New York Public Library.
