Sundance Film Festival Classics "Pop Foul"
A boy sees his father attacked by a local thug on the way home from a Little League game and agrees to help hide the incident from his mother. Programmer’s Note: An official selection of the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, "Pop Foul" depicts a simmering adolescent emotional turmoil with great strength and skillfully erupts into a devastating conclusion. Completed at Columbia University's film program, this student work earned Molson a place on Filmmaker Magazine's "25 Faces to Watch" list that year. He participated in the 2008 Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab with a feature-length work that he has since adapted into "Crazy Beats Strong Every Time," a new short holding its world premiere at this year's Festival.
