Efter sju timmar och 27 minuter kämpade sig Mikel Nieve som förste man över mållinjen på Val di Fassa. Nieve vann 1.40 före Stefano Garzelli. Contador var även idag starkast av favoriterna och gick i mål tio sekunder bakom Garzelli. Han leder nu Girot med 4.20.
