THE ONE AND ONLY OLYMPIA STADIUM
Munich’s Olympia Stadium was the site of many events when the city hosted the Olympic games in the early 70s, and now it's a huge venue where some of the biggest acts in the world play concerts every summer. Big names like The Rolling Stones, Metallica, AC/DC, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, The Police, Norah Jones, and Michael Jackson have played to roaring crowds at the stadium over the years, but why pay for tickets for any of these bands when you can listen for free? The stadiums sound system carries the music perfectly over to the nearby, 850,000 square meter park, and half the city comes out on warm summer nights to get a free concert from major rock act who are in town. Drink beer and eat some local Bratwurst from the many stands throughout the gorgeous park as you listen to a free concert under the stars. And don't forget to smirk to yourself and feel superior to all those poor saps who actually paid for tickets. Suckers.
