For almost fifty years, impoverished Burma has been under the control of a military junta looking out for conspiracies, especially among the young. And those in the hip-hop scene are no exception.With spies everywhere, freedom is a foreign word in Burma. Living under the constant threat of censorship controls, many musicians have taken to presenting their music on the internet using assumed names. And those artists who still perform live hip-hop have almost all stopped writing political tracks.
