The Town Lake Animal Center gets some celebrity help for their summer of love campaign. Actress Holly Marie Combs is on a new Public Service Announcement for the center. Their 'Summer of Love' campaign is not only hoping to draw in more volunteers and foster parents but advertise their adoption programs. This push comes as construction on the new Austin Animal Center continues full speed ahead. The new eco-friendly center will have an educational center, more comfortable kennels and cages but most importantly a better veterinary facility. It’s all in an effort to help the city maintain it's 90% live outcome rate. It's a goal that is possible through fostering. "You take a pet home for a couple of days, let it grow get healthy, you bring it back and find the right home for it," said Town Lake Animal Center staff member Lauralei Combs. The new facility is scheduled to open in November.
