Stoltz Professor of the Social Sciences in the Department of Economics at Brown University. Loury’s economic research focuses on applied microeconomic theory ¬– specifically welfare economics, game theory, industrial organization, natural resource economics and the economics of income distribution. He advises businesses and political leaders throughout the country on social issues; his essays and reviews have appeared in dozens of journals in the United States and abroad; and he is a frequent commentator on national radio and television. Loury is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the editorial advisory board of The American Interest.
