Using a proprietary plug-in for Maya created by the talented Andrew Bell, we were able to 3d rotoscope several performances of the same actor, performing different actions in front of a motion controlled camera, and blend one model into another. With the addition of camera maped textures we were able to create a pretty unique and easily controllable transition into the splitting effect. I was a 3d generalist on this and my shots were the apartment and creating cg extras walking on the street. James LeBloch created the epic end shot using Massive.
