Software giant Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) today disclosed that a Rootkit infection will make users need to reinstall Windows.Microsoft said in a statement that Windows users will need to reinstall Windows if they face a recent Rootkit infection, one which hides in the boot sector of the device.According to Chun Feng, an engineer with the Microsoft Corporation Malware Protection Center, said, "If your system does get infected with Trojan:Win32Popureb.E, we advise you to fix the MBR and then use a recovery CD to restore your system to a pre-infected state".
