The MoMA Alzheimer’s Project Presents: Imagination and the Changing Mind
In this panel discussion Dr. Eric Kandel, Nobel Prize–winning medical researcher; Paola Antonelli, senior curator in the Department of Architecture and Design at The Museum of Modern Art; David Shenk, author of The Forgetting and The Genius in All of Us; and Dr. Anne Basting, director of the Center on Age & Community at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, consider how innate differences or changes that develop later in life can beget creative engagement and meaningful contribution to society. By drawing on a range of experiences, theories, and practices, we can gain insight into how humans process and interact with the world, and how they create original paths of discovery and action. Amir Parsa, author and director of The MoMA Alzheimer’s Project, will moderate. This program is held in conjunction with Mapping Perceptions: The MoMA Alzheimer’s Project Summit.
