Successful Launch for Expedition 22
Expedition 22 Soyuz Commander Oleg Kotov and Flight Engineers T.J. Creamer of NASA and Soichi Noguchi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan aboard their Soyuz TMA-17 spacecraft Dec. 20 to begin a two-day journey to the International Space Station. Once there will join Expedition 22 Commander Jeff Williams of NASA and Russian Flight Engineer Maxim Suraev. Credit: NASA TV
