Govt to privatise lakes in Bangalore
The lake development authority is leasing out 11 lakes in Bangalore to private players such as hotel chains and builders in a bid to save them. They will clean the lakes and convert the open public areas to entertainment centers with food courts, boating centres and artificial beaches.
