Nasdaq/ICE withdraw NYSE bid
US regulators are understood to have been the stumbling block which forced Nasdaq OMX and IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) to pull out of the battle for control of NYSE Euronext. Jeremy Grant, FT Trading Room editor, discusses with Philip Stafford why there is now a spate of exchange consolidation unravelling and where this leaves Nasdaq and ICE, the Deutsche Börse bid for the NYSE, and the London Stock Exchange.
