Kansas receives poor ranking for childhood fitness
A new study by Child magazine ranked Kansas among the worst states for childhood fitness. Kansas was listed at number 46. The study focuses on school fitness and nutrition policies as well as the lifestyle quality of each state. The number of playgrounds, youth sports opportunities and fast food restaurants all factor into lifestyle quality.
