The Hong Kong International film festival is underway, most of directors think Hong Kong has better facilities and talent, however, the local film industry are facing challenges in attracting funding.  Money Magazine talks to some of the players about Hong Kong’s position in the film industry. Despite the economic doldrum, film makers say movie-goes are still visiting cinemas. Directors, especially of small and medium sized budget films, say they're still getting money from local producers, but many are now looking for overseas funding to export Hong Kong movies and keep their brands sustainable. About bank situation, most of banks are spending more on information technology to upgrade their systems, even amid the economic turmoil. Not only does it increase their ability to promote new products. It also makes their operating costs cheaper in the long run.
