東京6大学野球で42回目のリーグ優勝を果たした早稲田大学。3日の試合で先発したキャプテンの斎藤佑樹投手(22)は試合後、「何を持っているか確信した、仲間です」などと語った。斎藤投手は試合後、「最後に1つだけ言わせてください。いろんな人から『斎藤は何かを持っている』と言われ続けてきました。きょう、何を持っているのか確信しました。それは仲間です。こうやって応援してくれる仲間がいて、すばらしいライバルもいて、ここまで成長できたと思っています」と語った。
