Coffee Holding Surges 16% on Q1 Profit Growth; Dividend Anno
Coffee Holding (JVA) shares are up 16.63% after reporting a surge in its fiscal Q1 profit due mainly to higher revenues. JVA net income grew to $1.04million or $0.19 per share from $0.56million or $0.10 per share in the same period last year. Net sales increased 20% to $25.64 million from $21.36 million in the year-ago quarter. The company also announced that its quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per share will be paid to stockholders of record as of the close of business on April 18, 2011. The dividend will be paid on May 2, 2011. Shares are up $0.74 to $5.19.
