Dr Alberto Pedroncelli speaks about two clinical trials, one to compare pasireotide with octreotide in medically naïve acromegaly patients and one to compare pasireotide with octreotide or lanreotide in inadequately controlled patients. It is hoped that these studies will establish pasireotide as the first line treatment for all types of acromegaly.
