Scrums Immigration Minister Jason Kenney spoke to reporters about the fundraising letter that was sent from his office, which asked to fund an advertising campaign targeting ethnic voters. Opposition MPs have raised ethical concerns over the letter and have called for the minister to resign. Liberal Deputy leader Ralph Goodale, Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe and NDP Deputy leader Thomas Mulcair commented on Kenney’s letter, as well as rumours of a possible non-confidence motion that would take place before the March 22nd federal budget. Liberal Finance critic Scott Brison also addressed the rumours about a non-confidence motion.
