In the 1980s and 1990s, Evangelical Protestants flocked to "megachurches" for large congregational worship and their social and political conservatism. Now, a new generation of Evangelical and other Christians are seeking a more personal experience with a different political tone. And they are meeting in more intimate settings, like the corner cafe.
