The Police announce their final hooray, plus whose the latest rapper in court on drug charges, and Madonna’s latest pet project, all that coming up in the music news. Iconic rock band, The Police have announced they will take one final North America tour before they hang up their hats once and for all. Members Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers not only want to cash in on their mega successful reunion tour, but want to give the fans that missed the tour the first time, a chance to see them in action before they retire. Elvis Costello and The Imposters will open for the Police which begins in Ottawa on May 1. Once completed, the tour will be one of the top 5 grossing tours ever, around the $340 million dollar range. So see 'em while can because they'll be gone forever! Rapper Lil Wayne has been indicted on felony drug and weapon charges. In court he goes by his real name, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. and he list of offensives includes possession of a narcotic drug for sale and misconduct involving weapons. Wayne of course pleaded not guilty, they always do. The rapper's tour bus was topped at a border patrol station where it was search and police found marijuana, cocaine, and ectasy! If those problems weren't enough, back in October he was named in a federal lawsuit over licensing rights for not paying for some of the samples used in his music. He is due back in court on March 7. Not only does Madonna have a new album coming out in a few months, and probably another world tour planned, but she managed to find time to direct a film! Titled "Filth and Wisdom," her directorial debut premiered at the Berlin Film Festival recently.
