National High School Finals Rodeo
iReport — There is at least one recent Mississippi High School graduate, who has the right to be happy, this week. Mitchell Crawford, 2011 graduate of Leake Academy, in Carthage, Mississippi, is the only Mississippi High School student to have won awards 7 years in a row in the Mississippi High School Rodeo activities. Mitchell, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Crawford, from Carthage, Mississippi, and grandson of Mrs. Pat Harpole, and the late Charles " Hot " Harpole, from Maben, Mississippi, the same people, who own the house in Maben, Mississippi, where Charles Lindburgh stayed in 1923. Mitchell has won several awards in rodeos in Calf roping and other activities. Mitchell, and other of his friends will be traveling to Gillette, Wyoming, for the National High School Finals Rodeo, to be held from July 17-23rd. There will be over 1500 contestants in this program, from 41 different states, and from 5 Canadian Provinces and Australia.
