Two Lancaster County companies have found a way to avoid layoffs even when business is slow and they are sharing their secret. The companies started the program about a year ago and so far share four employees. They work at Lanchester Grill and Hearth from September to April and Kreider’s Canvas Service from April to September. One of the biggest benefits for the employers is they don't have to train new employees because they know they're getting the same ones back.
