Goldhawk Live Canada hosts the Group of 8 (G8) nations in Huntsville, Ontario later this month, beginning a day before the meeting of the more-inclusive G20, which meets in Toronto afterward. It may just be that the original Group of 8 - France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K., the U.S., Canada and Russia - has run its course in setting the agenda for the world. If that is so, what should Canada draw from this group before it gives way to the more far-reaching G20 and its concerns? How relevant is the leadership of this handful of former superpowers, now? Our question to you as we approach the first of these two summits: What should Canada accomplish with the G8 nations? Guests: Fen Hampson, Director, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University Debra P. Steger, Professor of Law, University of Ottawa Raymonde Folco, M.P., Chair Canadian Association of Parliamentarians for Population and Development We want to know what your priorities are for the G8 nations at the June 25-26 summit.
