張建宗：撤銷高齡津貼居港期限相當困難
高等法院早前裁定，要綜援申請人連續居港一年的規定是違反基本法。 勞工及福利局局長張建宗表示，正仔細研究判詞及對政策的影響，再決定未來路向。張建宗表示，目前有50萬名長者領取高齡津貼，若果撤銷居港期限的限制，會相當困難。他重申，有關資格限制，是按訂立規定當時的理據而制定，希望政府的資源能有效運用。 張建宗又表示，綜援標準金額每年按社援指數的變動而調整，確保金額的購買力得以維持，政府會因應經濟轉變，發放一次性措施，順境時與市民分享成果。
