In Yasothon wird zum Ende der Trockenheit ein mehrtägiges Fest gefeiert um Buddha dazu zu bewegen, es regnen zu lassen. Am 1. Tag gibt es ein großes Musikfest, am 2. Tag viele Paraden und durch die Stadt ziehende Tanzgruppen und am 3. Tag den Raketenwettbewerb.
