Scrums Transport and Infrastructure Minister Chuck Strahl addressed privacy concerns over body searches at Canadian airports. The minister was also asked about infrastructure projects that may not finish by the government’s March 2011 deadline.Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff discussed the Bloc’s upcoming motion on Canada’s mission in Afghanistan and Julian Fantino, the Conservative candidate in Monday’s Vaughan by-election. NDP Leader Jack Layton reacted to the government’s announcement earlier today to cut hospitality and travel spending for bureaucrats. The annoucement came on the same day that the NDP released government documents showing that the federal government has spent more than $125 million on hospitality expenses since 2006.Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe commented on his party’s Afghan motion and on federal spending measures.NDP Public Works critic Pat Martin also discussed the government’s hospitality expenses.
