天然ニホンウナギの卵、世界初公開
東京大学などの研究グループは１０日、太平洋のマリアナ諸島沖で先月２９日に採取した天然のニホンウナギの卵を世界で初めて公開した。今回の採取を通じ、ウナギが産卵するのは水深１５０～２００メートルの表層部分であることなどがわかったという。
