Hugo Cemetery
This cemetery is a popular stop for tour buses, as the final resting place for rodeo greats Freckles Brown, Lane Frost, Todd Watley and L. Hammock. Ed Ansley, who was Buster Brown, and William H. Darrough, the founder of Hugo, are also buried here. And because Hugo has been a wintering home for several circuses, a special area called Showmen’s Rest features unique headstones and gravesites for circus performers and owners. Guided tours available for groups upon request. Originally aired January 3, 2004.
