The Pre Event of The 3rd Machigwa GakkaiMACHIGWA GIRLS COLLECTIONFebruary 5th, 2011In Naha City, OkinawaOn February 5th, 2011, Machigwa Girls Collection was held by NPO Machinaka Kenkyujo WAKUWAKU. The event took place on local shopping streets near Kokusai Street in Naha City. People from the area dressed up with what they found in Machigwa (Okinawan dialect for “local market”) and paraded on the streets.This event focused the convenience of Machigwa. There are varieties of shops gathered in Machigwa, so one can find anything he wants here at reasonable cheap price, even fashionable clothes. Machigwa Girls Collection was the pre event of the 3rd Machigwa Gakkai, the meeting discussing about local revitalization. The 3rd Machigwa Gakkai will be held on 11th and 12th of February, 2011.
