Когда Чу Кунжуй арестовали в Пекине, ей было всего 19. Она погибла в заключении 13 декабря 2000 года. По данным Информационного центра Фалунь Дафа, на момент смерти ее нос был переломан, лицо изуродовано, а тело окровавлено. Чу – одна из сотен последователей Фалуньгун, которые скончались в результате репрессий.
