German Village Preserves East-West Divide
On Sunday, October 3, Germany will celebrate 20 years of reunification. And perhaps nowhere in Germany are the effects of the Iron Curtain still understood than the tiny village of Moedlareuth. This town of just 50 people was divided down the middle after World War Two, and separated for four decades. Today it stands as a monument to the division of Germany. Jennifer Glasse visited the village and filed this report.
