If there’s one thing that should put the willies up central bankers in Asia, it’s inflation. It was only two years ago that much of the region saw riots over oil and food prices. And yet amid abundant evidence that prices – particularly for staple foods – are rising too quickly for comfort, Asia is largely keeping interest rates on hold.
