Serge Martinchuk, piano
Serge Martinchuk began his piano studies in the Ukraine at the age of seven, where he also studied solfege, music theory and ear-training. By the age of sixteen, he graduated from the music school with honors and came to the US.  He was the winner of the Pasadena Fine Arts Piano Competition and captured a second prize in the Los Angeles Liszt Competition. In this recital, Serge Martinchuk plays: Fantasy in F# Minor, Opus 28 by Felix Mendolssohn; Music Moments Nos. 3, 4, 5 & 6. Opus 16 by Sergei Rachmanioff; Variations on the Themes of Paganini, Opus 35 by Johannes Brahms. (#5950)
